Designating your gift

Donors may make unrestricted donations to support the overall mission of Friends of Squirrel Lake.

FOSL may also provide opportunities for donors to designate their contributions to specific programs or areas of interest, including:

General Fund

Supports the organization’s greatest current needs and allows the Board of Directors to direct funds where they can best support the mission.

Lake Safety

Supports programs such as life-jacket loaner stations, safety equipment, boater safety initiatives, CPR/AED education, and other lake-safety programs.

Education & Community Programs

Supports educational programs, community outreach, community resource assistance, new-resident welcome initiatives, cleanup activities, and similar programs.

Fishery & Lake Management

Supports projects related to fisheries, water quality, habitat, shoreline stewardship, conservation, lake management, and related educational activities.

FOSL will make reasonable efforts to honor donor designations.

If a designated program is completed, discontinued, becomes impractical, or can no longer use the donated funds effectively, FOSL will address the remaining funds in accordance with applicable law, the terms of the gift, and any agreement with the donor.
